什麼是社會與團結經濟? (Social and Solidarity Economy, SSE)
在 Erasmus Mundus (Wiki: 伊拉斯謨世界計劃是「伊拉斯謨計劃」的國際化方案。) 社會和團結經濟項目中，社會/團結經濟組織/企業被認為是那些：
- 人優先於資本。 （資本是手段而不是目的）；
- 旨在為他們的成員或整個社區服務，而不是僅僅為了經濟利益而奮鬥；
- 是創造就業和/或自營職業的催化組織；
- 既不是私營企業也不是公共機構；
- 以市場和交易為導向；
- 實行民主治理，決策過程涉及用戶、工人和受益人；
- 基於以下原則：參與式治理、團結和關愛人力資源、自然資源的可持續性、個人和集體責任以及對結果的問責；
- 利用利潤促進企業可持續發展和共同利益的社會目標。
- 它有時被稱為公共利益經濟。它包括非營利部門中涉及貿易的部分，例如社會企業和合作社。
